"We are a friendly group of people, who are mainly retired, and we have an average attendance of about 16 players each week. We only play doubles, on three or four tables, to give everyone as much playing time as they want. The standards of the players vary, but we try to balance the pairings to allow for closer games, We all enjoy winning, but we don't take it too seriously. New players are always welcome, whatever your standard".
